When we were planning for Anaikatti we also planned to visit Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Center since it was very near to Coimbatore. We were a bit curious as we had heard a lot about Sadhguru and specially PM Modi had visited this place recently in 2017.
Finally we felt that our visit to Anaikatti was worth only due to visit to Isha Yoga Center as there was nothing much in Anaikatti to see except see the confluence of river Bhavani and Survani.
Location : 33 KM from Coimbatore in Tamilnadu state. Regular taxies and buses are available to take you from Coimbatore railway station / airport to Isha Foundation.
All entities like Yogi Adinath, Dhyan Linga, Teerthakunda, Linga Bhairavi are within same campus.
Time to go around the place
Total time to take tour of premises is about 3 hours which includes 30 minutes meditation. Note that photography is strictly prohibited in the premises.

Adi Yogi
This is Himalayan metal statue of Lord Shiva. As per legend and literature available in this ashram that about 15,000 years ago when no religion existed in the world, Adi yogi the first Yogi transmitted science of yoga to Saptarishis (seven sages). The 112 feet high, this glorious face represents 112 ways in which this sage offered t.o Saptarishis for attaining well being and Ultimate nature.
This is worlds largest bust Sculpture and is recorded in Guinness Book of Records.
Dhyan linga
This site was consecrated by Sadhguru,a yogi, a mystic after three years of “pran Pratistha”- a rare mystical process that uses life energies to transform mere stone into a deity.
Photography is not allowed inside so can not post fotos here.
The dhyanlinga is 13 feet 9 inches in height and is actually Shivlinga. Dhyanlinga is a guru ( a stone linga deity), an energy centre of doorway to enlightenment. Dhyanlinga does not ascribe to any religion or pooja or faith or worship. Just sit for 30 minutes with in the hemisphere dome.
As per Sadhguru, the dhyan linga radiates a different quality to derive benifits depending on days :
Monday : Earth is tatva : Fertility, childbirth, cleansing Doshasa (impurities).
Tuesday : Water is tatva : procreation, imagination, mental stability, conjugal relationship.
Wednesday : Fire is tatva : Particularly for children below 4 years of age.
Thursday : Air is tatva :For radiance and innocence.
Friday : Space is tatva : For those who suffer from negative energy like black magic. Develops memory, self confidence and be synchronous with nature.
Saturday : Mahatatva is tatva :Knowledge and enlightenment. Self realization and wisdom.
Sunday : Celebration of life beyond all senses : Receive Gurus grace and break the illusion of individual self.
Events at Dhyanlinga
There are different types of meditations round the day in Dhyan linga. These are ,

Epilogue
Visit to Isha Yoga Center, Coimbatore. It is still under construction and I think will take another 2-3 years to complete. I guess it will be one of the main tourist centers and shelter for needy elite section who are looking for peace and rest. I guess the needs of poor mass also will be taken care by great Sadhguru for solace. I saw several foreigners who were here doing ” kar Seva” and learning the sadhguru directed meditation and yoga. I think the philosphy is slightly different from the one imparted by Ramdev ji and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. But change and innovations are still ON in field of yoga and I guess in 20 years the yoga and meditation will be entirely different concept.
